Resident of Luchima village in Majimoto ward, Mpimbwe district, Mlele region of Katavi, Mr. Aseni Jandikile, has donated five thousand shillings to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in recognition of her efforts in bringing development to the citizens.
The amount was handed over to the Deputy Minister of Lands, Housing, and Human Settlements Development and the Member of Parliament for Kavuu Constituency, Hon. Geophrey Pinda, on May 3, 2024, while addressing the villagers of Luchima during his visit to console the flood-affected residents of his constituency.

“I commend the president for her actions, and today, as I receive this cash amount of five thousand shillings, I urge you, Honorable MP, to deliver it to President,” he said.
According to the citizen, his decision stems from appreciation for the excellent leadership and performance of President Samia, especially in caring for the people of Luchima. Among other things, she has shown care by allocating fifty million shillings for the construction of a dispensary, which he noted has greatly benefitted the villagers.
In response, Deputy Minister Geophrey Pinda promised to ensure that the donated amount reaches Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President.
He praised the citizen of Luchima for his decision to donate this amount as a sign of accepting the tremendous efforts and work done by Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan in bringing development to the people of Luchima and Tanzania as a whole.
He urged the villagers to know that President Samia cares deeply for them and has been supporting various development initiatives in the Kavuu constituency, including funding for hospital construction, schools, roads, and access to water services.
Mr. Pinda conducted a tour of his Kavuu constituency to console residents affected by floods caused by heavy rains, which damaged infrastructure including bridges.
