47 people have been injured following a road accident along the Londiani – Muhoroni Road, Kericho County. The accident occurred on Friday morning involving a 62-seater bus.
Red Cross Society said the 47 have been taken to Fort Tenan Sub County Hospital by the County Government and EMS Kenya.
Additionally, seven people escaped unharmed. The scene was cleared by the Kenya Police after a response team was activated. This comes after 10 people sustained injuries after a 33-seater minibus they were traveling in got involved in an accident along the busy Nairobi – Mombasa highway in Machakos.

Athi River South subcounty police commander Jos Mudavadi said the incident happened at Bee petrol station area in Athi River on Thursday at 8.00 pm. The matter was reported to Athi River police station as a self-involved slight injury road accident incident on Thursday. According to Police Commander Mudavadi, the vehicle’s driver, Kazee Muinde, lost its control after brakes failed making it veer off to the right as one faces Mombasa’s general direction” Mudavadi said. Out of the total number of 27 passengers who were aboard during the accident, 10 complained of slight bruises and 3 were rushed to the Shalom Community Hospital in Athi River for treatment
“Ten passengers complained of slight injuries (bruises), and three were rushed to hospital for treatment on admission and the rest of the passengers were treated and discharged.
