“My younger brother Hussein, stand tall like a baobab tree” – President Samia

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has urged Hussein Mwinyi to continue standing tall like a baobab tree to uphold the honor of the family and unity.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has urged  Zanziber  President and son of the late former President Ali Hassan, Hussein Mwinyi ,to continue standing tall like a baobab tree to uphold the honor of the family and unity.

President Samia expressed these sentiments today, March 2, 2024, while offering condolences to the family of the late Mzee Mwinyi, the Second President of Tanzania who passed away on February 29, 2024, due to lung cancer.

Speaking, President Samia said, “My younger brother Hussein, stand tall like a baobab tree, let this baobab be respected,” President Samia said. President Samia also stated: “When one baobab falls, it’s not difficult to plant another one, among the remaining 11 of you, let one stand tall as a baobab and let that baobab continue to be respected.

“We will not be pleased to see or hear of family conflicts, disagreements; I urge you strongly to stand as the baobab of the family,” emphasized President Samia.

Furthermore, she emphasized the importance of strengthening unity and solidarity within the Mwinyi family to continue honoring the legacy of “Mzee Mwinyi.”
