President Akuffo Addo has spoken about the economy at his first message of the year 2024. He acknowledged that Ghana was not yet completely free from challenges in his New Year message.
He emphasised the economic struggles faced over the past two years. Despite this, he expressed confidence in Ghana’s ongoing recovery and resilience, sharing his optimism for the future.
He stated, “I wish all Ghanaians a Happy and Prosperous 2024. Even though we are not completely out of the woods, I am confident that, with hard work and determination, Ghana will make it, and collectively, we will secure our futures.”
The President and his appointees have serially insisted that despite the challenges , economy is rebounding citing dropping inflation, exchange rate and stabilized cedi depreciation among other indicators. His New Year Message however underscores the acknowledgement of the hurdles the nation has faced, coupled with the determination to overcome them.
