In his opening remarks at the Army 2024 International Military-Technical Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the event’s growing global significance and Russia’s commitment to constructive collaboration.
“This is a major forum which attracts high representatives,” Putin stated. Held for the tenth time, the forum “invariably enjoys a lot of attention on behalf of specialists, experts and media outlets from across the world.”
Putin expressed gratitude for the widespread international participation, noting that dozens of countries sent high-level defense delegations this year, and over 120 foreign companies registered to take part. He also noted that several foreign exhibitions were offered the opportunity to set up stands at the event.

“We can see that our commitment to promoting constructive cooperation has resonated with others who were sincere and proactive in their positive response,” Putin said. He stated that Russia treasures its partnerships and is dedicated to developing them through joint efforts to “ensure equal and indivisible security and build a new, fairer multipolar world order.”
The Russian president highlighted the forum’s “packed business programme” and its focus on showcasing Russia’s most advanced defense industry achievements. However, he emphasized the event’s inclusive and “truly international scope,” as well as its “mutual commitment to dialogue.”

Putin expressed confidence that the Army 2024 forum will help strengthen existing ties and forge new ones through the signing of mutually beneficial contracts with Russia’s Defense Ministry and defense enterprises. He also suggested it could enhance cooperation with Russia’s “close and friendly countries on security matters and in terms of defending our national interests.”
