The Member of Parliament for Kigamboni, Dr. Faustine Ndugulile, has passed away in India during the early hours of November 27, 2024. He was receiving medical treatment at the time of his death.
The sad news was confirmed by the Speaker of the Tanzanian Parliament, Dr. Tulia Ackson, who expressed her condolences in an official statement.
“I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of the Kigamboni MP and the newly appointed WHO Regional Director for Africa, Honorable Dr. Faustine Ndugulile. On behalf of all Members of Parliament, I extend my condolences to his family, the residents of Kigamboni, and all Tanzanians. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace,” said Dr. Ackson.
Dr. Ndugulile was a prominent figure in Tanzania’s healthcare sector, having served in various national and international roles.

He was recently appointed as the World Health Organization’s Regional Director for Africa, a position viewed as a significant achievement for the nation.
Arrangements for his funeral and other memorial activities are expected to be announced soon by his family and relevant authorities.
This loss marks a profound moment of grief for the nation, particularly for the residents of Kigamboni, where Dr. Ndugulile served diligently as their representative in Parliament.
