This achievement highlights the continent’s significant contribution to the global supply of diamonds and its broader economic impact.
Africa is renowned for its wealth in valuable minerals essential for economic development, such as gold, copper, and platinum. The continent holds about 30% of the world’s total mineral reserves, which are vital for various industries, including electronics, infrastructure, and energy production. Among these resources, diamonds are particularly crucial for many African economies.
