Singida Regional Commissioner Issues Revenue Management Directives

The Regional Commissioner of Singida, Hon. Halima Dendego, has instructed regional leaders to closely monitor all revenue sources and ensure that all procedures are accurately followed.

Speaking at a working session held on August 29, 2024, Dendego emphasized the importance of financial discipline and accountability in the collection and utilization of public resources.

Hon. Dendego highlighted the necessity for leaders to identify, manage, and control revenue sources to prevent any potential loss of public funds.

“Every leader is responsible for ensuring that revenues are properly collected and that there is no loss of any kind. It is our duty to manage these resources with integrity and adhere to all legal procedures,” she stressed.

She also warned against corruption and the misuse of office, stating that leaders should set a good example by following laws and procedures.

“Transparency and accountability are the foundation of the region’s success. No leader should violate revenue collection and utilization procedures,” Dendego stated.

The Regional Commissioner also urged leaders to be innovative and to seek new revenue sources to boost the region’s and the nation’s overall income.

“Proper management of revenue sources will aid in the implementation of development projects aimed at improving the lives of Singida residents,” she added.

Hon. Dendego called on all leaders to perform their duties with integrity, ensuring that all revenues are collected and deposited in banks on time while emphasizing the importance of strictly adhering to existing procedures without bending them.
