Members of the Zanzibar House of Representatives, led by Speaker Alhaj Zubeir Ali Maulid, participated in a solemn service to bid farewell to the late Panya Ali Abdallah, a Special Seats Representative for the Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party from North Unguja. The service took place following her passing on July 24, 2024, while receiving medical treatment in India.
Panya Ali Abdallah was born on February 5, 1964, and was 60 years old at the time of her death. She was a dedicated member of the permanent committee of the House of Representatives, which oversees national leaders. Abdallah leaves behind four children.
The funeral service for the late Panya Ali Abdallah was held at Masjid Zinjibar Mosque in Mazizini, and she was subsequently laid to rest in the village of Donge Chanjaani, North B District, Unguja. The service was attended by Zanzibar President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, along with other government officials who paid their last respects and offered condolences to her family.
