The first draw of the CRDB FIFA World Cup 2026 Campaign has officially been conducted, marking a major milestone in one of Tanzania’s most ambitious customer reward initiatives tied to the global football spectacle, the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The campaign, which is spearheaded by CRDB Bank, aims to reward loyal customers through the use of TemboCard Visa by offering them once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, including attending live matches of the 2026 World Cup in North America.
The first draw, conducted in April 2026, saw multiple customers emerging as winners of premium prizes. Among them are individuals who secured state-of-the-art television sets, while others earned the highly coveted opportunity to proceed to the next stage—competing for a chance to attend the World Cup finals.
This initial phase sets the tone for the campaign, which is structured to include three major draws, ensuring wider participation and increased chances of winning among customers nationwide.
Pathway to the World Cup Experience
According to the campaign structure, a total of 20 winners will ultimately be selected:
10 winners will travel to watch World Cup matches live in the United States and Canada
10 winners will receive large-screen smart televisions with full viewing packages
The winners advancing from the first draw now move closer to the grand prize, which includes an all-expenses-paid trip covering flights, accommodation, and match tickets.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, making it one of the largest and most historic editions of the tournament.
To qualify for the campaign, customers are required to actively use their TemboCard Visa cards. Specifically, a minimum of 30 transactions is needed to enter the draw, with each additional transaction increasing the probability of winning.
This approach has significantly boosted digital payment adoption, aligning with CRDB Bank’s broader strategy to promote cashless transactions across Tanzania.
Speaking after the announcement of the first draw winners, Karington Chahe, Senior Manager of the Card Department at CRDB Bank, expressed satisfaction with the campaign’s strong start and customer response.
He stated that the initiative is not only about rewarding customers but also about transforming banking experiences through innovation and engagement.
> “This campaign reflects our commitment to delivering value beyond traditional banking services. We are excited to see our customers win and move closer to experiencing the FIFA World Cup 2026 live. The response so far has been remarkable, and we encourage more customers to participate actively,” said Karington Chahe.
He further emphasized that the remaining draws will offer even greater excitement, urging customers to continue using their TemboCard Visa cards to maximize their chances.
With two more draws scheduled in the coming weeks, anticipation continues to build among customers. The campaign not only highlights CRDB Bank’s innovation in customer engagement but also places Tanzanian customers on a global stage through football.
