China and Tanzania mark a historic milestone as they celebrate 60 years of unwavering collaboration, from the shores of the Indian Ocean to the majestic Great Wall.

The Chinese Embassy in Tanzania, alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, commemorates this diamond jubilee with a fervent spirit of solidarity, partnership, and enduring camaraderie.

Honoring this remarkable relationship, the Chinese Embassy and Tanzanian authorities co-hosted the ‘60 Years of Brotherhood’ event in Dar es Salaam, symbolizing the enduring journey and strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Over the decades, both countries have fostered cooperation across various sectors, including national defense, transportation (such as the iconic Tazara), ICT, water, electricity, and renewable energy.

At the commemorative event, Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. January Makamba, reaffirmed Tanzania’s dedication to enhancing collaboration with China, emphasizing the need to explore new avenues for cooperation.

According to The CEO of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation Raphael Maganga highlighted China as a leading investor in Tanzania during a recent forum in Dar Es Salaam.
