The ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has mandated that the ongoing Mwenge terminal bus stop project in Kinondoni Municipality, Dar es Salaam, must prioritize inclusivity to resolve conflicts among traders and stakeholders.

This directive was issued by Amos Makalla, CCM’s Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training, during his recent visit to inspect the project as part of a regional tour.

The project, aimed at revitalizing local business, had faced setbacks previously but was revived under the leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. Makalla expressed appreciation for President Samia’s efforts in pushing forward the project, which had previously been stalled due to investigations.

“The objective of this initiative is to stimulate economic activity. While challenges and misunderstandings may arise, it is crucial that we accommodate all stakeholders,” Makalla emphasized during his address at the site.

Makalla highlighted the importance of creating an environment conducive to business growth and development, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts to ensure its success.

Local traders and stakeholders have welcomed CCM’s directive, viewing it as a step towards fostering a more harmonious and productive business environment. The project’s inclusivity measures aim to mitigate conflicts that have previously hindered its progress, offering a promising outlook for economic revitalization in the region.
