The United States is mourning the death of Senator Lindsey Graham, a powerful Republican lawmaker from South Carolina whose decades-long career placed him at the centre of America’s debates on national security, foreign policy and global conflicts.
Graham died at the age of 71 after what his office described as a “brief and sudden illness.” Preliminary findings from medical authorities later indicated that his death was linked to an aortic dissection caused by cardiovascular disease.
