Tanzanian President Sends New Year Wishes to China

President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania has extended warm greetings to President Xi Jinping, the government, and the people of the People’s Republic of China as they celebrate the Chinese New Year.

In her heartfelt message, she wished them happiness, prosperity, and good fortune in the Year of the Snake.

Reflecting on the strong bond between Tanzania and China, President samia emphasized the longstanding friendship and collaboration that have defined the two nations’ relationship. She noted that the partnership, built on mutual respect and trust, has resulted in significant achievements across sectors such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

“The Chinese New Year is a time of renewal and hope, and I believe this year will bring continued success and strengthened cooperation between our nations,” President samia  stated.

She also acknowledged China’s vital role in supporting Tanzania’s development journey. Landmark projects such as the TAZARA Railway stand as enduring symbols of the friendship between the two countries.

The New Year begins, the Tanzanian leader expressed optimism about exploring new opportunities for collaboration to further deepen the ties between the two nations. She reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to nurturing this special relationship, ensuring mutual benefits for both countries and their people.
