Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga SC) has officially announced the termination of contracts with both head coach Angel Miguel Gamondi and assistant coach Moussa Ndaw, effective November 14, 2024.

The club released a statement confirming the decision, expressing appreciation for their contributions and wishing them success in their future endeavors.

In a brief statement, the club’s management said, “We thank both coaches for their efforts during their time with the team and wish them all the best in their next roles.” The statement did not specify the reasons for the decision but emphasized that it was in the best interest of the club moving forward.

Gamondi had been with Yanga SC for a period marked by mixed results on the pitch, with the club experiencing both positive moments and challenges under his leadership. Ndaw, who worked alongside Gamondi, also faced scrutiny for the team’s inconsistencies.

Despite the changes, Yanga SC’s leadership remains focused on securing a new coaching team. “The search for new coaches has already begun, and we expect to have new appointments soon,” the statement read. This announcement comes at a critical point in the season, with Yanga SC looking to maintain its competitive edge in both domestic and international competitions.

The club closed the announcement with their slogan, “Daima Mbele, Nyuma Mwiko,” symbolizing their ongoing commitment to progress and success. The phrase, which means “Always Forward, Never Back,” captures the club’s philosophy as they prepare for the next chapter in their football journey.
