Russian President Vladimir Putin, has signed a decree to establish the commemorative medal “80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”
This medal will be awarded to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and others as specified in the accompanying regulations.
The obverse features a design of a victorious soldier in the field uniform from the Great Patriotic War, proudly raising the Victory Banner over the Reichstag.

The reverse displays the inscription “80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945,” encircled by a laurel wreath, which is adorned at the base with an image of the Order of the Patriotic War of the First Degree.
