In the early hours of December 1, renowned espionage and detective writer Yericko Nyerere won two prestigious awards at the Zikomo Awards ceremony in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Nyerere received the Author of the Year and Community Leader of the Year awards. He was accompanied by the Ambassador of Guinea to South Africa.
On his Instagram page, Yericko shared, “I won two awards today, Community Leader of the Year and Author of the Year for Africa at the Zikomo Awards on 30/11/2024.”

He further expressed his honor in meeting Ambassador Moriba Alain Kone of Guinea, who was pleased to congratulate him and share how Yericko’s espionage book is being used in military schools in Guinea.
The ambassador had never expected to meet the author in person.
Additionally, Yericko received an invitation to visit intelligence schools in Guinea. “The greatest honor was the invitation to visit intelligence schools in Guinea and speak with students who use my espionage book as a crucial reference for their studies,” Yericko said.
