Yanga’s head coach, Miguel Gamondi, and Simba’s Fadlu Davids expressed these views in Dar es Salaam today while speaking to the press ahead of the match.

“Essentially, this game is balanced on both sides, 50/50. It is crucial to approach this match with great care,” said Gamondi.

Similarly, Coach Davids mentioned that he has experience in significant matches like this one, and the goal is to win.

“We treat this game like any other; you need to win to start the season well by defending this title. I have experience in these big derby games. Considering our team is new, we will come with different strategies to ensure we get good results,” said Davids.

The “Kariakoo Derby” will be preceded by another semifinal match between Azam and Coastal Union at the New Amani Stadium in Zanzibar.
