The State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) has held discussions with a delegation of Saudi Arabian businesspeople to explore investment opportunities across Tanzania’s mineral value chain, with the aim of promoting partnerships that will benefit Tanzanians.

The discussions were held on August 18, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, where STAMICO Executive Director Dr. Venance Mwasse outlined investment opportunities available within the country’s mining sector.

Dr. Mwasse said STAMICO continues to open its doors to investors in accordance with government laws, regulations and procedures, emphasising the corporation’s commitment to ensuring that mining investments generate benefits for all stakeholders.

He said STAMICO was focused on operating on commercial and transparent principles to minimise bureaucratic barriers, improve efficiency and ensure that investment initiatives deliver tangible results within a reasonable timeframe.

“STAMICO is the right organisation to partner with because it has skilled and experienced professionals, strong relationships with communities surrounding its projects, and the capacity to collaborate with other institutions,” Dr. Mwasse said.

He added that the corporation remains committed to creating an enabling environment for investors while ensuring that partnerships in the mining sector contribute to Tanzania’s broader economic development.

The discussions form part of STAMICO’s ongoing efforts to attract strategic investors and strengthen partnerships within Tanzania’s mining industry.
