Cholera Cases Rise in Mbeya Amid Health Measures

Cholera cases in Mbeya have increased, with 22 people now reported to be affected, up from 17 just three days ago.

Health authorities have swiftly stepped up efforts to control the spread of the disease.

As part of the response, the local government has implemented several measures, including closing down water wells, restricting food services, and suspending businesses that do not meet the required health standards. These actions are aimed at preventing further contamination.

Thankfully, no deaths have been reported so far, and all those infected are being isolated in designated treatment areas to receive care.
