CCCC Pledges Support for Tanzanian Students

China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) has pledged to continue providing assistance and opportunities for Tanzanian students and citizens as part of the long-standing partnership between the two nations.

China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) has pledged to continue providing assistance and opportunities for Tanzanian students and citizens as part of the long-standing partnership between the two nations.

This commitment was made during The Spring Festival Gala and Food Festival, themed the Year of the Snake, held at the Confucius Institute, University of Dar es Salaam. The event was attended by company executives, educational leaders, and government representatives.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Liyuloang Lee, Deputy Manager of CCCC, expressed gratitude to the Tanzanian government and students for their cooperation. He reiterated the company’s commitment to offering training and job opportunities to Tanzanians to strengthen economic and social ties between the two countries.

Mr. Chi Cho Wa, representing the Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, emphasized that the collaboration would significantly benefit Tanzania’s economy. He also noted the growing importance of Kiswahili, now an official language in the African Union, and its rising popularity in China.

Secretary General of the Tanzania-China Friendship Institute,Joseph Kahama highlighted the longstanding partnership’s success in enabling Tanzanians to study, work, and gain short-term training in China. He revealed that in the current year alone, 412 Tanzanians have received training and job opportunities in China, free of charge.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam Prof. Bonaventure Rutinwa

acknowledged CCCC as a key partner in providing Tanzanian students with learning opportunities and post-graduation support.

The event concluded with Chinese cultural performances, symbolizing the cultural bond between the two nations.
