Thousands of Israelis marched across major cities on Sunday, staging protests and a nationwide strike demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the safe release of hostages held by Hamas.

Demonstrators blocked roads, halted public transport, and gathered outside government offices, expressing frustration over the ongoing military operations and their impact on civilians and captives alike.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation, defending the government’s military strategy while acknowledging the public’s concern.
