Tanzania’s ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), is gearing up for the upcoming general elections by launching a significant fundraising campaign.
This was announced by the party’s Secretary General and presidential running mate, Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, during a press briefing in Dar es Salaam.
Dr. Nchimbi explained that the party members are eager to contribute to the election preparations, and as such, CCM has decided to actively involve its supporters through this fundraising initiative.
“We want to make our members part of the process by launching a fundraising campaign,” he said.
The party aims to raise approximately 100 billion Tanzanian shillings from its over 13 million members, reflecting the broad base of support CCM enjoys across the country.

The fundraising event is set to be officially presided over by the party’s Chairperson and Tanzania’s President, Samia Suluhu Hassan, in Dar es Salaam later this August.
This campaign is a clear indication of CCM’s commitment to mobilizing resources and strengthening grassroots participation as the nation approaches one of its most important electoral moments.
