The Arusha Regional Police Force has intensified investigations into the theft of a Toyota Alphard with registration number T 340 EJR, an incident that has been widely discussed on social media.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, by Arusha Regional Police Commander Justine Masejo, the theft occurred on Sunday, January 12, in the Kaloleni area.
The vehicle’s owner, Goodluck Matingisa, 41, reported the crime to authorities, stating that valuables were stolen from his car. However, details of the stolen items remain undisclosed as investigations are underway.
Commander Masejo assured the public that the police are making every effort to resolve the case. “We are conducting a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible. We will share more information as soon as it becomes available,” he said.
In his statement, Commander Masejo also urged vehicle owners to adopt measures to prevent such incidents. He advised the public to avoid leaving valuable items inside vehicles and to always park in safe and secure locations.
“Your cooperation with law enforcement is essential. We encourage citizens to report any suspicious activity or information that could assist in solving this case. Together, we can ensure that those responsible face justice,” Masejo added.
