The District Secretary of the ruling party CCM in Kilolo District, Iringa Region, was tragically shot dead by unknown assailants in the early hours of Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred in Njiapanda ya Tosa Village, where Kibiki resided. She was attacked during the night and was later rushed to Tosamaganga Referral Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
John Kiteve, the CCM Chairman for Kilolo District, expressed deep sorrow over the incident. “We as a party are profoundly saddened by this news. We have scheduled the funeral for the day after tomorrow, and the CCM National Secretary General, Emmanuel Nchimbi, is expected to attend,” said Kiteve.
The shooting reportedly took place between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., sparking concern and grief among the community and party members.

Efforts are ongoing to reach the Iringa Regional Police Commander, Allan Bukumbi, for more details on the incident. Meanwhile, security authorities are expected to intensify investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible for this shocking act.
