SMZ To Create Better, Youth-Friendly Environment – President Mwinyi

The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has stated that the government is committed to ensuring that young people receive the quality education needed in the job market.

He assured the youth that the government will continue to invest in infrastructure for technical education, skills, and knowledge to empower them.

Dr. Mwinyi made these remarks on August 10, 2024, while opening the National Youth Forum with the theme “Be a Different Youth” at Zanzibar Beach Resort Hotel, Mbweni, in the Mjini Magharibi Region of Unguja.

He also urged the youth to seize the opportunities provided by the government to achieve their dreams. Regarding leadership, he called on young people to actively participate and come forward in large numbers to contest leadership positions in the upcoming 2025 General Election.

Additionally, during the event, President Dr. Mwinyi awarded various youths with Excellence Awards for excelling in different fields that have contributed to building the capacity of the nation’s youth.

Meanwhile, the founder of the Global Youth Empowerment Foundation, Amina Sanga, presented President Dr. Mwinyi with a Special Leadership Award for outstanding leadership at the forum.
