BAO lililofungwa na straika wa zamani wa Yanga na Azam, Obrey Chirwa dakika ya 61, limeiweka Simba kwenye mazingira magumu ya kuweza kufuzu Ligi ya Mabingwa Afrika msimu ujao, ikilazimishwa sare ya 1-1 dhidi ya Kagera Sugar.
Simba ambayo jana jioni kwenye Uwanja wa Kaitaba, Bukoba mkoani Kagera, ilikuwa inamalizia mechi yake ya kiporo, ilitakiwa kushinda ili kuizidi Azam FC kwa kufikisha pointi 59, lakini kwa sare hiyo imetimiza pointi 57 sawa na Wanalambalamba hao, lakini ikisalia nafasi ya tatu ikizidiwa tofauti ya mabao ya kufunga na kufungwa.
Matokeo hayo sasa yameirahisishia Yanga kutwaa ubingwa wa Tanzania Bara, kwani iwapo itashinda mechi yake ya leo tu, itatawazwa kuwa mfalme wa soka kwa mara ya tatu mfululizo.

Yanga ambayo leo iko Uwanja wa Manungo Complex, Turiani mkoani Morogoro, kama ikishinda itafikisha pointi 71 ambazo haziwezi tena kufikiwa na timu yoyote kwenye Ligi Kuu.
Simba na Azam iwapo zitashinda mechi zote nne ambazo kila timu imesaliwa nazo, zitafikisha pointi 69.
Hata hivyo, Simba itabidi ijilaumu yenyewe kwa kukosa mabao mengi ya wazi, wakiongozwa na straika wao, Freddy Michael.

Kona fupi iliyopigwa na Luhende dakika ya 15, ilimkuta Mubarack Hamza ambaye aliuingiza langoni, ukapita mbele ya lango la Simba, lakini wachezaji wa Kagera Sugar walizubaa kuuwahi mpira ukatambaa taratibu na kutoka nje ya upande wa pili wa uwanja.
Ilikuwa ni dakika ya 23 wakati Ladack Chasambi, winga aliyesajiliwa dirisha dogo la usajili Januari mwaka huu, akitokea Mtibwa Sugar, alipoipatia Simba bao la shuti kali la mguu wa kulia, nje kidogo la eneo la hatari.
Bao hilo lilitokana na faulo iliyopigwa na Mohamed Hussein ‘Tshabalala’, iliyomkuta Babakar Sarr, ambaye aliupiga mpira kichwa kuurudisha nyuma, ndipo ulipokutana na mchezaji huyo akiwa katika sehemu nzuri na kuukwamisha wavuni.
Kipa Ayoub Lakred, alifanya kazi ya ziada alipochupa hewani, akiruka pembeni upande wake wa kushoto na kulidaka kwa ustadi shuti kali lililopigwa na straika wa zamani wa timu hiyo, ambaye sasa anaichezea Kagera Sugar, Mbaraka Yusuph.
Kama wasingekuwa wabinafsi, wachezaji Chasambi na Balua wangeweza kuifanya timu hiyo kumaliza dakika 45 na mabao matatu, kwani walipata mpira na kuwalamba chenga mabeki wa timu pinzani, lakini badala ya kutoa pasi kwa wenzao ili wafunge kirahisi, wakalazimisha kufunga wao, badala yake walipiga mashuti yaliyogusa nyavu za pembeni.
Kipindi cha pili, Kagera Sugar walionekana kufunguka, na Simba kukaribisha mashambulizi mengi hadi walipopata bao la kusawazisha.
Baada ya hapo, Kagera Sugar nao walirudi nyuma na kuwaachia wachezaji wa Simba mpira ambao hawakuonekana kuwa wakatili langoni, badala yake walijikuwa wakijichanganya wenyewe.
Moja ya nafasi adhimu walioipata ilikuwa ni dakika kumi kabla ya mechi kumalizika, wakati Balua na Fred walipotegua mtengo wa kuotea na kubaki na kipa Mkongomani, Alain Ngeleka, lakini wao wenyewe waliugombea mpira na kuutoa nje badala ya kuukwamisha wavuni.
