Residents of Mbeya are grieving after a tragic bus accident claimed the lives of 11 people and left several others in critical condition.
The incident involved a passenger bus, registered under the number T282 CXT and operated by AN Company, which was traveling from Mbeya to Tabora. The crash occurred in the Lwanjiro area of Mbeya Rural District.
Dr. Darson Andrew, the District Medical Officer for Chunya, reported that the fatalities include six men and five women. The injured passengers have been transported to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment. Emergency response teams are on-site, working to manage the situation and support those affected.
