Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a strong warning to Moscow, stating that Ukraine could target the Kremlin if Russia continues its aggressive military campaign.
Speaking to Axios in New York, Zelensky emphasized that any response would focus strictly on military objectives, reaffirming that civilians are not the target: “We are not terrorists,” he said.
The president suggested that Ukraine is preparing to strengthen its long-range strike capabilities and expressed hope for advanced missile systems from the United States. While he did not provide detailed specifics, the remarks underline Ukraine’s determination to defend its sovereignty and pressure Russian authorities to reconsider their offensive strategies.
The warning follows statements from Russian Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, who cautioned that any Ukrainian attack on Russian territory would provoke a decisive response. These exchanges highlight the ongoing escalation between the two nations, as both sides continue strikes targeting critical military and infrastructure sites.
