The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) has deepened its academic and cultural ties with China following a significant donation of 200 books from the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC).
This marks the company’s second contribution to UDSM, underlining a shared vision for advancing education and cultural exchange between the two nations.
The donated collection spans diverse fields, including arts, history, science, and technology, offering students access to a broader spectrum of knowledge. At the handover ceremony, Dr. Collins Kimaryo, UDSM’s Acting Director of Library Services, commended the initiative, describing it as a meaningful addition to the university’s resources. “These books go beyond their academic value; they symbolize the deepening collaboration between our institutions and countries,” Dr. Kimaryo stated.
Li Xuecai, General Manager of CCCC, emphasized the broader implications of the event. “This is not just about books. It’s about fostering understanding and building bridges of cooperation. We’re proud to contribute to UDSM’s academic growth,” he said.
