The troubling footage, which has drawn widespread attention on social media, shows the man holding the young child while negotiating the sale.
In a statement issued from Dodoma on Friday, January 3, 2025, the Police Spokesperson confirmed the operation, emphasizing the urgency of finding the suspect to bring him to justice. Authorities described the act as “cruel and illegal,” reaffirming their commitment to protecting the safety and rights of children.
“The Police Force strongly condemns this behavior and calls on the public to reject and denounce such practices,” the statement read. “By cooperating with law enforcement early, we can act before harm occurs.”
