These honors reflect the country’s rising status as a top travel destination in Africa, celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes, wildlife, and rich culture.

One of the most coveted awards went to Tanzania as Africa’s Leading Destination, a recognition that highlights its growing popularity with travelers from across the globe. Serengeti National Park, a true jewel in Tanzania’s crown, also received top honors as Africa’s Leading National Park, reinforcing its reputation for wildlife viewing and the awe-inspiring Great Migration.

The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) also earned the title of Africa’s Leading Tourist Board, a nod to their outstanding work in promoting the country’s diverse offerings and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. This award celebrates the TTB’s commitment to making Tanzania an even more attractive and accessible destination.

A local tour operator was also named Tanzania’s Leading Tour Operator, in recognition of their exceptional service in guiding visitors through the country’s most iconic attractions, including the stunning treks up Mount Kilimanjaro. The rise in popularity of Tanzania as a destination for unique, immersive experiences is evident in the increasing number of visitors choosing the country for their adventures.

The Gran Melia Hotel, based in Arusha, was crowned Tanzania’s Leading Hotel, further cementing the country’s growing reputation for world-class hospitality.
