Sinotruk, a leading global manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks and a subsidiary of the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC), has extended its corporate social responsibility efforts by donating food and educational supplies to orphanages in Dar es Salaam.
This gesture is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and improving the lives of vulnerable groups.
The donation ceremony took place at the National Museum of Tanzania, where representatives from ten beneficiary orphanages gathered alongside officials from Sinotruk. Li Zhong Yuan, the country manager for Sinotruk in Tanzania, expressed the company’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children in need.
“We are honored to support orphanages across Dar es Salaam with these much-needed supplies,” said Li. “This initiative is in line with our corporate values of fostering stronger relationships and making a tangible difference in the communities we serve.”
The orphanages that received support included Mura Kind Heart Orphans Centre, Longchwan Children Core Centre, and Chamazi Orphans Home, among others. The donated items included food supplies, which will help improve the children’s living conditions, as well as educational materials aimed at enhancing their learning opportunities.
Jeni Shao, the manager of Longchwan Children Core Centre in Mikochoni, spoke on behalf of the orphanages, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the donation. She emphasized how much the contribution would mean to the children in the care of the institutions.
