RNW Launches Innovation Fund with 20,000 Euros In Seed Funding

In a bid to foster innovation and support creative initiatives, RNW has announced the launch of an Innovation Fund with an initial seed funding of 20,000 euros for each project.

The fund aims to encourage innovative projects that address pressing challenges amongst the youth  and innovative and transformative solutions that drive positive change.

The Innovation Fund seeks to provide financial support to Registered Non-Governmental organizations   with groundbreaking ideas that have the potential to make a significant impact. By offering seed funding of 20,000 euros, for each AI-driven proposed project, RNW aims to empower changemakers and catalyze innovative solutions in various sectors.

Applicants  are encouraged to focus on areas such as civic and political engagement of young people, amplifying youth voices on gender equality, and advocating for youth perspectives on climate justice. These initiatives should address the challenges and needs faced by young individuals, incorporating new approaches to engage them on critical topics.

According, to Sarah El Sweify the Parnership Cordinator for RNW, the core of these projects lies in incorporating AI approaches and tools to amplify the intended impact “The projects must utilize various digital media tools, including customized messaging and bots, to enhance interaction and foster meaningful engagement with young people.”.

Questions regarding the application process must be submitted by May 1st, 2024, and applications are due by 11:59 PM CET on June 1st, 2024.

Following a comprehensive screening process, six finalists will be selected to showcase their innovations to a panel of experts at the Digital Media Impact Summit (DMIS 2024) in October.
