The ongoing conflict involving Iran is beginning to cast a long shadow over the war in Ukraine, with President Volodymyr Zelensky warning that shifting global attention could weaken critical military and financial support for his country.
Speaking amid rising geopolitical tensions, Zelensky expressed concern that the growing crisis in the Middle East is steadily pulling the focus of key allies, particularly the United States, away from Ukraine at a crucial moment in its prolonged confrontation with Russia. He cautioned that this shift could slow down decision-making processes and delay the delivery of essential defense systems.
