The Regional Commissioner of Arusha, Paul Makonda, has stated that he will not cease holding accountable those who fail to fulfill their duties, especially the officials of Arusha region who are not performing their tasks properly, despite criticism on how he handles these employees.

Makonda made this statement on Monday while addressing officials of the Monduli District Council during his third visit to all districts of the Arusha region to inspect the implementation of development projects.

These statements come after some individuals were quoted in the media expressing dissatisfaction with the performance of the Regional Commissioner, a matter that Makonda described as ‘It’s as if they’re asking me to work harder even when I’m asleep.’
