President Samia Suluhu Hassan has declared five days of national mourning in honour of Tanzania’s former Prime Minister Edward Lowassa, who passed away on Saturday, February 10, aged 70.
According to Vice President Dr. Phillip Mpango, the flag will be flown at half-mast throughout the country.
The VP said more information concerning Lowassa’s death will be provided by the government.
