Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal national touched down in Cote d’Ivoire in their traditional clothes as teams arrive for AFCON droves.
As 23 African nations, in conjunction with the hosts, gather for this football spectacle, the arrival of teams has already drawn attention, especially with their striking fashion choices.
Traditional Ensembles were the order of the day for African Cup of Nations favorites, Senegal, Ghana,, Cameroon and Nigeria as they arrive in Ivory Coast in regal style.
The Black Stars team , lead by the Captain, Andrew Ayew ,arrived looking elegant in their rich colorful kente.
The Super Eagles donning White Kaftan with Green and white cap .
The team from Senegal came through with an all white kaftan, ready to “devour ” their opponents.
Fans of the black stars of Ghana stated that their team dressed better in Kente than per Egles in White kaftan and green cap. This is no surprise as there is a long-standing rivalry between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Ghana is one of the favorites for the AFCON which starts on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
With four AFCON titles, Ghana wants to rise up the ranks of the countries with the most accolades.
The Black Stars of Ghana will face Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde in Group B of the AFCON.
They begin their AFCON journey at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium tournament in Group B against Cape Verde.
With the host nation Ivory Coast ready honing out against Guinea Bissau .
