Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) is today expected to release the official list of parliamentary candidates who will represent the ruling party in the 2025 General Election, following the completion of its internal nomination process.
The announcement comes after a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee’s Central Committee, chaired by CCM Chairperson and President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, as part of the final preparations for the election.
In a statement shared on her social media platform X earlier this week, President Samia said the meetings aim to ensure CCM secures the best possible candidates for parliamentary seats, special seats, members of the Zanzibar House of Representatives, and special seats representatives for Zanzibar.
