In a commendable display of corporate social responsibility, the China Communication Constrcution company (CCCC), has donated 100 writen books to the St. Matthew’s Pre & Primary/Secondary and High School in Mwandege, located at Mkulanga District, Pwani Region of Tanzania.
The decision ,apart from displaying their corporate social responsibility, was also mainly because St. Matthews , is among one of the few institutions teaching the Chinese Language in the country.
The written books included one of China’s widely read books ,”Xi Jinping: The Governance of China,”
Speaking to Media Wire Express, the CEO of China Communication Construction Company-Tanzania Branch,Chen Jian,who presented the items ,says the core reason behind the initiative is to offer support to students studying the Chinese language.

“”Our goal is to empower primary and secondary students to grasp the language early and leverage global opportunities through Chinese,” he stated.Chen Jian also highlighted the company’s ambitious plans to expand the initiative to more schools teaching the language.
The Headmaster of St. Matthew’s School Joseph Nalaila, who received the books on behalf of the school , stressed valuable impact the donation will have for the school as it will further provide them with more supplementary books necessary for teaching and learning
He explained that Students using these resources can earn certificates for enrolling in courses in China,with ease.
Present at the event was the Dean Of Confucius Institute -Tanzania,Zhang Xiazhen ,who as a gesture of solidarity to CCCC ,used the occasion to highlight the importance of studying the Chinese language .
According to her, the Confucius Institute has recently received a fully sponsored scholarship package for 10 Tanzanians studying the Chinese language at the institute .
The successful 10, will be enrolling in Degree programs in the field of “Intelligent Engineering “and Transport .
