Authorities have confirmed that the number of fatalities claiming the lives of 15 individuals in the Arusha road accident has now risen to 25, with additional details revealing that among the victims are 7 foreign nationals who were visiting the country from Kenya, Togo, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Nigeria, and the US—were among those confirmed dead in one of the deadliest road accidents in Arusha’s history.

 

 

The accident, which initially resulted in 15 fatalities, has shocked the nation and brought sorrow to many families. The victims, including the foreign nationals, were involved in the unfortunate incident on an Arusha road, leading to this heartbreaking loss of lives.

Authorities are working diligently to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident and provide support to the families affected by this tragedy. The increase in the death toll emphasizes the severity of the incident and underscores the importance of road safety measures in the region.

 

Arusha Regional Police Commander, Justine Masejo, said the accident occurred at 5pm and involved a suspected brake failure of a truck, which then collided with three other vehicles.
