Algiers is gearing up to host this landmark event, which reflects the continent’s economic convergence and builds on Algeria’s long-standing commitment to African unity. Since its independence, Algeria has actively supported liberation movements and engaged in diplomacy that champions continental causes. Its influential role within the African Union and leadership in various AU bodies exemplify this commitment, solidifying Algiers as the host city for an eagerly anticipated continental gathering.

“To align all available means with the nation’s African ambition” is the guiding principle behind Algeria’s strategic resource deployment, focusing on enhancing its image and influence. This includes meticulous coordination across various sectors such as infrastructure, logistics, administrative procedures, customs facilitation, and marketing.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has consistently advocated for strengthened political alignment across Africa, rooted in active solidarity and mutual support. His vision emphasizes economic ambition, aiming to initiate a new growth dynamic driven by intra-African trade.

The slogan “Africa for Africans,” first proclaimed in Algiers during the establishment of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), resonates deeply in today’s pursuit of African economic renewal. Through IATF 2025, Algeria reasserts its role as a strategic crossroads and a driving force behind autonomous continental development.

President Tebboune’s long-term strategy focuses on diversifying the national economy and intensifying African partnerships while striving to break free from asymmetrical economic relations. This approach is reflected in the organization of the IATF, which experts view as a vital instrument for promoting commercial exchange across a market valued at over $3 trillion.

Algeria is mobilizing all necessary resources to ensure that IATF 2025 becomes a benchmark event—a strategic turning point in its economic projection across Africa, aligned with the aspirations of its peoples. By hosting this major gathering, Algiers is not merely taking on the role of host; it is actively realizing a shared vision for the future based on robust trade relations.

September 4 will signify more than just an economic or diplomatic occasion; it will embody a collective determination to deepen economic cooperation, reinforced by political will, as emphasized by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.

In just one week, Algiers will reconnect with its destiny as a significant African capital, rich in historical significance and hope for African unity. As Africa seeks new foundations, the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair in Algiers emerges as a beacon of exchange, ambition, and reciprocity.
