Tanzanian socialite and entrepreneur Hamisa Mobetto has made a move to shield her son from ongoing speculation surrounding his paternity by adjusting his social media identity, removing any mention of Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
Mobetto, a mother of two, has a son named Dylan Abdul and a daughter named Fantasy Francis, from two different relationships.
While the paternity of Dylan has been subject to widespread conjecture, it is commonly believed that he was conceived during Diamond Platnumz’s involvement with Zari Hassan.
The news of Mobetto’s pregnancy with Dylan thrust her relationship with Diamond into the spotlight. Initially considered an extramarital affair by Diamond, Mobetto publicly identified Diamond as the father of her child, thus confirming their relationship.

Despite earlier controversy, Mobetto had chosen to name her son Naseeb, after Diamond. However, in December 2022, Diamond neither confirmed nor denied being Dylan’s biological father, stating that only Mobetto knows the truth.
Diamond’s reluctance to acknowledge Dylan as his son was evident, as he reportedly requested a second DNA test to confirm the child’s paternity.
In response, Hamisa Mobetto has opted to modify her son’s social media name to Dylan Mobetto, distancing him from any association with Diamond’s surname. However, she has retained her daughter’s name, Fantasy Francis, maintaining her link to her father, Majito Francis.
In a recent interview with Tanzanian bloggers, Mobetto’s mother, Shufaa Lutigunga, was asked about the name change. She deferred to Mobetto, indicating that she would be best suited to address such inquiries, considering the evolving nature of social media and its impact on personal identity.
