The Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) leadership in Kilombero District has held a special District Executive Council meeting to assess the party’s performance, strengthen its internal structures and prepare for upcoming elections.

The meeting, held on November 3, 2026, was chaired by Kilombero District CCM Chairman, Comrade Mohammed Ally Msuya, and focused on evaluating the party’s overall performance, organisational strength and grassroots activities across the district.

Addressing members, Msuya emphasised the importance of strengthening the party’s structures and improving its effectiveness to ensure it remains competitive in future elections. He noted that CCM’s broader objective is to maintain its political leadership by strengthening its relationship with members and the wider community.

The meeting was also attended by the newly appointed Acting District CCM Secretary, Comrade Vaileth Soka, who participated in the council meeting for the first time since assuming the position.

Soka outlined her vision and aspirations for CCM in Kilombero, expressing her commitment to building on the achievements of her predecessors while introducing improvements that would strengthen party operations, leadership coordination and member engagement.

She also highlighted the importance of maintaining the party’s existing achievements while working towards a stronger and more effective organisation.

Meanwhile, Kilombero District Commissioner and CCM District Political Committee member, Advocate Dunstan Dominick Kyobya, urged party leaders and members to actively support the government’s Universal Health Insurance campaign.

Kyobya called on meeting participants to communicate the importance of health insurance to CCM members and residents across Kilombero, emphasising that public awareness and community participation would be essential in achieving the government’s objective of ensuring every Tanzanian has access to health insurance coverage.

He encouraged party representatives to use their grassroots networks to educate citizens about the importance of health insurance in improving access to healthcare and reducing the financial burden associated with medical expenses.

The meeting comes as CCM continues to emphasise political education, leadership development and organisational capacity-building through its Department of Ideology and Training.

The department has been focusing on educating party cadres and members to improve their understanding of party policies, strengthen leadership skills and enhance professionalism in carrying out party responsibilities.

Such initiatives are considered important in strengthening party structures, improving coordination between leaders and members, and preparing the organisation for future political and electoral activities.
