Egyptian irrigation company El Nakheel Company for Modern Irrigation Systems has expressed its commitment to strengthening its presence in Tanzania by providing modern irrigation technologies and establishing strategic partnerships to support sustainable agricultural development.
Speaking during the 10th Global Africa Agri Expo and the 3rd Future Food and Livestock Expo at the Saba Fairgrounds in Dar es Salaam, the company’s Export Manager, Ahmed Riad, said the firm was participating in the exhibition not only to showcase its products but also to establish long-term partnerships with stakeholders in Tanzania.
Riad said the company was focused on building partnerships based on trust, quality and sustainable agricultural development, while responding to the specific needs of the Tanzanian market.
“We are dedicated to setting new benchmarks here in Tanzania and providing high-quality products that meet local needs,” he said.
He explained that El Nakheel specialises in the manufacture and supply of modern irrigation systems designed to improve water efficiency and support farmers in different agricultural environments.
Among the products showcased by the company are high-grade polyethylene hoses, tape hoses, drip irrigation systems and sprinkler systems.
According to Riad, the products are designed to meet the demands of modern farming and are manufactured to comply with international standards.
He said adherence to international quality standards enables the company’s irrigation products to withstand different environmental conditions while providing reliable solutions to farmers.

Riad added that the company sees Tanzania as an important market with opportunities for agricultural technology and irrigation solutions, particularly as farmers seek ways to improve productivity and manage water resources efficiently.
He said participation in the exhibition provides the company with an opportunity to interact directly with farmers, businesses, distributors and other agricultural stakeholders, enabling it to better understand local requirements while introducing technologies that can contribute to the modernisation of agriculture.
The company’s participation comes as Tanzania continues to promote modern agricultural practices, irrigation and technology adoption as part of efforts to increase productivity, strengthen food security and enhance the value of the agricultural sector.
The exhibition has brought together agricultural companies, investors, policymakers, farmers and technology providers from Tanzania, Africa and other parts of the world to explore investment opportunities, technology transfer and business partnerships in the agricultural sector.
