Footballer Aisha Masaka has set a record as the first female player from Tanzania to be signed by a Women’s Super League team in England.
Aisha has signed a contract with Brighton, moving from BK Hacken in Sweden where she joined in 2022, having previously played for Yanga Princess in the Tanzanian Women’s Premier League.
A year ago, Aisha made history as the first Tanzanian female player to participate in a European women’s club championship when her team BK Hacken competed in that tournament.
