Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is calling on allies to keep their commitments to supply weapons to Ukraine, particularly those needed to defend against Russian air attacks.
Zelenskyy stated that in the past week, Russian forces conducted hundreds of strikes on Ukraine, using nearly 700 aerial bombs and deploying over 600 attack drones.
According to the Ukrainian air force, they successfully shot down 60 of the 94 drones launched by Russia overnight. They noted that 34 drones were “lost” due to Ukraine’s electronic warfare tactics, which redirected some of the Russian drones.

Zelenskyy emphasized on the Telegram messaging app, “Every week, the Russian war continues only because the Russian army retains its ability to fight Ukraine because they have all the ammunition’s for this war.
He reiterated the need for Ukraine‘s allies to follow through on their promises. “The decisions made at the NATO summit in Washington and those discussed during the Ramstein meetings regarding air defenses for Ukraine have not yet been fully realized,” he stated.
This week, Zelenskyy also mentioned that he had conversations with partners, including the United States, about the possibility of allowing Ukraine to produce its own air defense systems and missiles.
