On October 3, 2025, Sean “Diddy” Combs, the acclaimed hip-hop mogul and entrepreneur, was sentenced to four years and two months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution.

The sentencing took place in the Southern District of New York before Judge Arun Subramanian in Lower Manhattan.

Combs, 55, was found guilty of violating the Mann Act by facilitating travel for illicit sexual activities involving former partners, including Cassie Ventura and a woman identified as “Jane.” He had faced additional charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, but was acquitted on those more severe counts.

During the sentencing hearing, Combs expressed remorse for his actions, apologizing to his victims and acknowledging the impact of his conduct. He described himself as “humbled and broken to my core” and emphasized his commitment to personal reform.

The court also factored in the time Combs had already spent in custody since his arrest in September 2024, which could reduce his remaining prison term.

In addition to imprisonment, Combs was ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and will serve five years of supervised release after completing his sentence. Legal analysts note that the case highlights the judiciary’s willingness to hold high-profile individuals accountable and has sparked broader discussions on power dynamics, abuse, and responsibility within the entertainment industry.

Combs’s legal team has indicated plans to appeal the conviction, citing concerns over trial fairness and the evidence presented. The outcome of any appeal remains pending.
