Russian universities will showcase their opportunities to students in the Republic of India interested in pursuing a Master’s program.
On April 8, 2025, the TV BRICS International Media Network, in partnership with Amity University (India), will host a teleconference titled “Russia. Points of Attraction,” focusing on linguo-country studies.
The teleconference will be hosted at the BRICS+ Information and Cultural Media Centre in Moscow. Tamara Skok, Head of the “Modern Russian” international project at TV BRICS and Deputy Director General for International Cooperation at the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature named after M. I. Rudomino, will collaborate on this platform with Miguel Palacio. On the Indian side, representatives from the Centre for BRICS Studies at Amity University, along with Russian teachers and students studying Russian as a foreign language, will participate via videoconference.
Several prominent Russian universities have confirmed their participation in the teleconference, including Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Far Eastern Federal University, Kaluga State University named after K. E. Tsiolkovski, and Kozma Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University. International students studying at these institutions will share their experiences in Russia, discussing their academic pursuits, sports, creative activities, Russian cuisine, and the warmth of Russian hospitality.

Additionally, the teleconference will introduce a new educational television project by TV BRICS titled “Russian Lessons,” which aims to facilitate learning Russian as a foreign language and promote Russian culture abroad.
“Each teleconference involves extensive preparatory work: TV BRICS specialists produce educational videos, linguists from the ‘Modern Russian’ project engage in preliminary vocabulary preparation with foreign colleagues to familiarize them with relevant terminology for the meeting. Foreign students also prepare presentations and creative performances. To enhance interaction during the teleconference, interactive technologies and cognitive games are incorporated, making the event dynamic and methodologically enriching.”
The “Modern Russian” international outreach project was established in 2007 to promote the Russian language, enhance literacy levels among the population, and provide linguistic support. This initiative is carried out by the TV BRICS International Media Network and is unique in Russia and internationally for its comprehensive range of practical philological activities. The project’s information resources and consulting services are utilized in over 150 countries worldwide. It collaborates with the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
