The results of the recent Russian-US talks will not be released to the press at this time, according to an announcement made today by the press secretary for the President of Russia.Dmitry Peskov, 

This statement comes as Ukrainian diplomats are poised to engage in further discussions with their American counterparts.

On March 24, officials from the United States and Russia convened in Saudi Arabia for talks aimed at establishing a comprehensive 30-day ceasefire between the two nations, following three years of intense conflict. A joint statement from US and Russian officials is anticipated later today, following the completion of these discussions, which have been initiated by US President Donald Trump.

Dmitry Peskov announced that there are currently no immediate plans for another telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. However, he emphasized that diplomatic communications between Russia and the United States will persist.

The Kremlin subsequently confirmed that the details of the discussions would remain undisclosed as both parties are still in the process of analyzing the outcomes. Both US and  Russia sources announced the publication of a joint statement following the talks in Riyadh in the near future.

The revival of the grain export deal would be advantageous for Russia. Following its withdrawal from the agreement, Ukraine successfully established independent grain export routes that circumvented Russian ship inspections and significantly diminished the capabilities of Russia’s Black Sea fleet. Furthermore, the agreement could provide a safe haven for Russia’s navy against potential Ukrainian attacks.

Ukraine had previously consented to a 30-day ceasefire during discussions with US officials and has accused Russia of employing manipulative tactics by delaying a potential truce. Kyiv has emphasized the necessity of involving its European allies in any forthcoming peace negotiations; however, both Moscow and Washington have expressed doubts regarding their participation.

In a related development, Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted earlier this month that any ceasefire agreement should prohibit Ukraine from rearming, insisting that arms shipments to Kyiv be halted during any cessation of hostilities. This condition would render Ukraine more vulnerable to future Russian invasions.
